Correct me if I am wrong, but can't you use the flanges from a 68 up bus trans??

if the porche 944 cvs are 100mm and the type 2 are 100mm couldent i just us a output flange that adapts the type2 cv to the type 1 tranny something like this? http://www.chircoestore.com/catalog/product_info.p...aa66d30e7c

No you can't use a Bus flange because the splines on the side gears of the diff are larger than those of a Type 1 diff. Both 002 and 091 Bus.

If you want to use 100mm CVs, you must find Thing trans flanges for the inboard end.
The trailing arms can also use Thing stub axles, and much easier to find Porsche 924/944 stub axles.
