Wow ....... that thing was on the stands for a loooong time. Nothing like a ten thousand mile shake down run ....... and the chance to meet a bunch of you wonderful (ly crazy) vanagonistas.

ps I had a good chuckle at Granny Grose's this year. Several Samba members comments that got back to me "she's so much older than she sounds on Samba" gave me a good laugh. Hey I've always admitted to being over 65! _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

This is a great thread!
I guess is time to present me and my family composed of me (Hugo), my wife Mariana and my sons Lucas and Alec.
Below is my concentrated face while driving in Glacier NP this year (I think it was on the way to Bowman Lake)
I love this picture of my wife and kids taken in MogFest this year (Joe and Dana from DasMule to the right)
And finally, my sons using "their" Syncro for playing and reading. The main reason bought a Syncro are my kids, I'm trying to build lots of memories with them (the oldest was camping and paddling on a canoe when he was one, the youngest started camping at 5 months)

Ok, I'll play, too. From last year:
Poor Don blinked.
Not much has changed with Ollie, except maybe a couple fewer stickers (the PO was big into snowboarding & skiing). Plus, I moved from PA (where the van got lots of stares and thumbs up), to PDX (where owning a Vanagon is not out of the ordinary at all). Ollie made the cross-country moving road trip just fine. _________________ I'm pullin' into town on the interstate, I got a steel train in the rain.

In all my splendour at the helm of Gus...
One of the "puppies" in Gus last year:
Jack worn out in the back of Bob a few years ago.
There's still Mrs. Tonz and the The Teenager But not in any great Van picks that I can find immediately...
And the fleet:
Gus (with model):
Bob (right) and other Bob (left):
