Hi,
I like other people I guess would interested in knowing a bit more about these rare type 3's , especially now I own one.
I don't want to create an exclusive club or indeed anything that takes up a large amount of time in administration, but wondered if any other owners would be interested in starting a register or doing a production survey of some sort.
It would be nice to get a feel of how many cars are left and by pooling knowledge and information we might all learn something.
What I propose is to start with a list here, then if it looks like a go'er I'll look into hosting a site somewhere.
Any ideas or input would be gratefully received.
I'll start things off.

Something interesting I noticed this weekend...
I took my front seats out and saw that they have grey seat bases that have been over sprayed in red.
Now, is this original or have they been replaced with earlier ones at sometime?
Normally 66 bases would have been Black, but as my car is an early one, maybe late 65 bases been used??
Does anyone else out there have a Pigalle or Teak with the same thing? Interesting if so...
Mike. |

IIRC it's a zinc oxide to prevent rust. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Ok, so it looks like it might be a case of me putting 2+2 together and coming up with 5 as my answer.
I'd never noticed the black over grey before and the only referance I have now are 64's which are grey anyway.
The Teak belongs to Vihannes. He's on board already and he has a lead on a Pigalle / Black Fastback also in Finland.
Any more? |

I've updated my original post with some new pics I took this weekend.
I still need to find a couple of rims with the right offset, so that my trims will stay on

I agree! A rear main seal takes about 2 hours to do and carbs are not that hard to fix and dial in. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof
