This exhaust is a little noisy but should last a while. Easy valve adjustments.[/url] |

Yes, it's the same. I like everything about the muffler EXCEPT, the sound. It is fairly noisy. I understand that since it's a glass pack, it will only get louder. Oh well. |

Is that a glass pack? It looks like the Danish OEM style muffler (with powder coating) that I have. _________________ '73 Thing -- making 45 mph exciting again. |

REALLY nice engine!!! Super clean like the day it was driven home from the dealership back in '74.
Kudos on what looks to be an immaculate stock Thing. Very well done. _________________

Who did your ceramic coating? Was it expensive? I have this muffler, but haven't installed it yet. I'd like to get it coated first... _________________ I'm All About My Fetti! |

The ceramic coating was already applied when I purchased it. |

I asked about ceramic coating (or lack thereof) on my muffler when I bought it, and was told that it's not possible to ceramic coat some mufflers. Apparently, ceramic coating requires liquid submersion which gets soaked up by the sound deadening material (fiberglass or whatever) messing it up. |

Just stick some Beetle "tweedle tips" in the ends, should quiet it down a bit!
