From 15 years or so ago in NY

1955 Sunroof Kombi, it was wasted from rust:

What is a cow catcher?


That large overrider on the front to push cows out of the way.
In reality it was to protect the front from serious damage if you hit an animal in the roadway.

You may know it as a "roo bar" since you are close to Australia.
Perhaps New Zealand would be a "sheep catcher"? Smile
