Was tempted to go. I wen't last year. Saw surfarii putting in his new windows! I just need some front end body parts. I didn't see too many Thing parts last year. Other than german motor works/Thing shop.
Cool idea to meet up at a certain time/place though!
I don't think I'll be going. |

I will be leaving the San Francisco Bay area at luinch time today. I plan to drive down the coast and spend tonight in somewhere like Morro Bay.
I m going to OCTO (Orange County Transporters Org) in Long Beach on Saturday and spending Saturday night at the hotel in Irvine, the the Thing Classic.
There are also some other events on Friday afternoon.
I am picking up some Acapulco front uprightrs and some stuff from the Thing Shop.
I have installed a new roll cage that fits under the hard top.
Wish me luck! _________________ 63 singlecab

Hello
I should be there too (without my Type 181, as usually).
- maybe at Nick's burgers place in Fullerton (DKP event, friday)
- GBE rally (saturday afternoon)
- VW Classic (sunday)
I should wear a tshirt "181SPIRIT.COM". It will depend on the weather.
Regards

We are coming, can't bring the Thing as we are picking up quite a haul from the thing shop.
I wonder if dogs are permitted?? Our puppy would love to come. |

I believe dogs are not allowed officially. However I have seen a couple of dogs at every show.
If I knew they were 100% welcome I would be easy to spot with two Shetland Sheepdogs in tow. Otherwise I will just look like every other unshaven slob in a pair of flip-flops.
As usual I will be there without my Thing. Maybe next year it will have four wheels and a working engine. I also have a ton of parts I am picking up from the Thing Shop. Beats paying for shipping. _________________ Order of the Voodoo Spoon |

My wife and I had a great time today at the event, we could have easily brought our dog in as there had to have been at least 30 plus dogs enjoying the sun.
Most of the things were grouped together near The Thing Shop's tent, many were parked scattered thru the show and even some out in the regular parking. The only Thing I recognized was Pimped73's snake thing. Can't wait to bring ours next year. |
