Thanks, I am really curious of what they look like on top of seat back frame.

I have thoughts if possible adapting headrests. not sure what structure inside looks like.

I don't have a picture, but I can tell you that the tubes that make up either side of the seat back end facing straight up at the roof. You would have to weld in a cross tube of some kind to mount a headrest.

Thanks

That's what I thought. I did not want to rip open my seats right this moment.

That allows an option to complete swap out.

They look like factory low backs but with a head rest grafted on. Definitely not factory.

I think they look more Thing-like than high-back Bug seats, though.

These are a quality graft... Very nicely done.. nice shot of Thing creativity... I would just get black suspension seat and be very much safer...

My seats have deteriorated quickly (I imagine they were factory covers still on there when it went into storage 25 years ago so once they were put in service they just went).

Anyway, I need to redo them. I just ordered Beetle seatbacks from a classifieds seller, so I will be changing the seatbacks.

Once I get them in and ready to disassemble the seats, I'll do my best to remember to take some pics of the frames.

Question for others: With the Beetle seats, are the bottom portions the same as Thing seat bottoms?

This seller only had the seatbacks available, but I verified that they should fit on my Thing bottoms. I'm just wondering if I could order Beetle seat covers, etc for them?
