Yes, more personality. Some parts are still missing as rear bumper trims, headlight lenses US specifics, OG beauty rings, sliding windows, wiper arm shaft for safaris. But it doesn't stop the bus |

I really like how this bus has come back to life. My cousin lived two blocks up the hill from the Hotel Colorado, and I rember us kidding each other(we were in our mid teens at the time) that if we had that bus we could pick up more girls at one time than with his 40 Ford Coupe or my 55 Chevy. This thing is a time warp for me. |

I prefer the bus when it was patina too. I had it as desktop background on my computer for months when JJ was the owner.
But as all of us here, except ... 1 (the previous owner now), I missed my chance, WE all missed the chance to let it as OG as possible.
Past is past . Help me follow this story. Now it's new with a stunning logo and that's what is great no ?
Be sure it will not stay in the back of the garage.
Thanks for your support. Thanks JJ for the job you made because I could not have do it

Nicely put and nice logo work.
At what point will a famous bus like the "Tom Tom" bus or "Hornbecker" bus be known as the current owners bus? Michael is adding to the history of this bus just as the previous owner and Tom Tom did.
Michael, YOUR bus looks great. |

Beautiful 23. I like it in both versions, previous and it's current state. You should be proud to have that in your stable. _________________ 53 Canadian standard oval

Im just glad that its come full circle and the logos are back on it. Soon when the 16s are back and the taxi light, it will be whole again.
Cant undo the resto so may as well make it as correct as possible and enjoy it. Its beautiful. It may have lost some of its original character, but it is still the same bus and the history of it is well documented. cant delete that. _________________ Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.

thank you for your messages.
I don't know if I can add the taxi roof light as the logo of the hotel should have been hidden by the Taxi company when the bus was used to make trips in Arches National Park.

I like both versions also. As long as it's saved and on the road it's all good. |

Hi,
55 years later, Molly, one of the five nurses on the picture under (the second woman from the right), met the Tomtom bus for the second time. Thank you Molly.

^ That is just wonderful. Lovely, really. Is Molly in contact with any of the others in the picture or share any memories of the bus? _________________ Jack Staggs

The 5 girls only crossed the life of tomtom at the moment the picture was taken. They spent some time working at the hotel colorado in 1958 but Molly doesn t remember having driven in the bus.
Molly is in contact with 3 of the girls. One has passed by. The guy in the picture was an employee at the hotel, but we did not find him for the moment although we have his name.
If you want to know their full story, the book Barbara Fox wrote upon the nurses story is for you. One of the nurses is her mother. |
