55 years later, Molly, one of the five nurses on the picture under (the second woman from the right), met the Tomtom bus for the second time. Thank you Molly.

That is brilliant! I read this book last year, a present off my sister. It's a great read, I highly recommend it. No photos in it though, which led me to find the blog, which then led to seeing the photo of the deluxe! I didn't know then though that it was the Tom Tom ...
It's available to buy in the States if anyone wants a copy. Barnes & Noble in Grand Junction and the Independent Book Train in Glenwood Springs should both have it.

I don't know if I can add the taxi roof light as the logo of the hotel should have been hidden by the Taxi company when the bus was used to make trips in Arches National Park.

Beautiful bus. Another nice touch would be to reproduce the front license plate in that photo. Just a thought.

That is such a cool bus. Deffinetly a piece of history and I bet Tom Tom is smiling down on you. Well done with the Logo's and finding one of the Original Ladies in the Vintage Photo.

Yes fifty8, almost this. As the bus has its logo, I'm trying to find the Colorado plate numbers.
I've received an email from Lin Ottinger and he confirmed me it was his VW taxi-tour bus on this gray scale picture.
I hope he will remember if this was the bus that belonged to the hotel colorado or not...

I'll ask him if I can share pictures of his old busses in situation

When it was Patina'd n slammed it was cool as it was a stand out from the crowd bus, when it was painted n slammed it lost everything that was special about it, but now it stands tall and proud, nice and stock with the correct sign writing and it is once again a fantastic piece of history. Anyone would be proud to own this bus
