How many of you know where you were and what you were doing to your Karmann Ghia 36 years ago to the hour??
I do.
1966 Blue Ghia.
I was parked on a side road south of Princeton NJ, sitting on a stone wall at about 9 pm rebuilding my fuel pump. Oh, the stone wall enclosed a crematorium.
Why to I remember so clearly when and where my Ghia died??
IT WAS MY WEDDING NIGHT!!! and we were on our way to our Hotel!!!!
We went out to dinner to celebrate, left the Air Cooled VW's in the garage and took the 2007 water pumper so as not to repeat the evening!

This is a shot of my buddy helping to fill in a road in Costa Rica in 1971. That is my 67 coupe "Larry". We drove it to Panama and back. Took us a year. That thing could go anywhere! Pablo _________________ 67 Ghia Convertible |

Happy Anniversary! And a great story (both of you!) I wasn't even a glint in anyone's eye yet that long ago... _________________ Ben
