Did any splits have choke knobs with an "S" on it?

Never seen an S on a choke knob before, other than a pre A Porsche. Can't tell from the pic but is the one pictured the same diameter as the factory choke knob?

Thanks Gary,
Yes it is the same size as the factory choke knob.
I also have black ones the same, but I do not know what car they are for. They were in a box of NOS parts.

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between cables with an L knob and those with an H knob please? Which would be best for a June 51 beetle?

Cheers,

Dave

L is for the choke, H is for the heater.

Another question about those knobs... if the wires are gone, is there a way of reusing the knobs? For what I can see my knobs does not have any threads...
