I was wondering as to how many split beetles that have been junked, wrecked and ignored to the point wherein the split would be beyond recognition. Anyone of you who found a rusted and delapidated split in the barn, woods or junk shop who took pictures thereof and have plans of saving it, do post the pictures. We have to save them Very Happy

This one may have been wrecked at one point, but it's not a lost cause. It's currently a driver. I am entertaining the idea of removing the white paint, and seeing how much of the original blue is left.

You know what, I am glad to know you guys preserving these rare vee-dubs, Split that is. In the Philippines, there are only a few Split window bugs that reached our shore. But, I know some friends on the Volkswagen Club of the Philippines who onws them. Very Happy

The one in the first two pictures you posted is as said above a Febr. -52 and is becoming a Hebmuller prototype replica.

The -51 is still waiting for restoration, but will be restored in a near future. Wink
