I picked up a case of Elysian Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout the other day at my local beer distributor.

It's smooth, dark, and quite tasty. Here's one review if you are interested.

These guys are everywhere in the Dayton area.

Only three offerings but all of them are very good.

Flyin' Rye IPA
Ermal's Belgain Style Cream Ale
10 Ton Oatmeal Stout

That looks delicious, as if it can be eaten with a spoon.

Years ago, I attended a beer tasting where the host poured a chocolate stout in shallow bowls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's quite the desert for the end of a meal, and the Elysian looks like a good candidate for that.

It really is. It's hard to resist the temptation to have it with breakfast. Actually, I'm not sure why I'm resisting. Guinness was mandatory at my favorite eating establishment back in ND, regardless of the meal time. There's nothing like a good breakfast sandwich tempered with an even better pint.

The stout and ice cream combination sounds like a good idea. Kind of like a beer float for adults.

Rogue Ales New Crustacean Barleywineish Imperial IPA Sorta (10.8% ABV) It's kinda peculiar. Not sure if I like it or not, but I've got 48oz. left in my growler to go.

Full Sail Wassail. It is NLA for this year, but I stashed a sixer when they were on sale in November.

Not too bad, but too sweet for my taste. Needs more malt, less sugar.

Sure! What are ya doin' tomorrow?

Half way would be somewhere around Grangeville, right? Not sure if there are any good pubs there. Probably not.

I wish we could do it today! I'm at the beginning of a rebuild, so it'll have to be mid summer or so! I'll hit you up again when I am confident in my bugs abilities! Very Happy

Those safari windows have gotten workout over the last several years. I'm pretty sure I see my empty Mirror Pond in that mix.

The East Trent Campout has taken the place of my little shindig the last few years. Maybe its time to throw down along the railroad tracks again.

Saturday night I had one of these...

It was delicious, and a bit dangerous. 9.5% ABV and full of Imperial goodness.
Then I fell asleep on the couch watching figure skating with my girls.
