Not great, but not bad at all. I'll have no problem finishing this sixer.

Was in Tuscaloosa last week (Roll Tide!!) and stopped by the Black Warrior microbrewery. Enjoyed a couple of their IPA's. |

Just found (and drank) a year old 90 minute IPA in the root cellar. Also found one brewed in '06. I'm not skeered! _________________ nothing |

Just picked up a Sierra Nevada Barrel Aged Narwhal Imperial Stout at my local beer bottle slinger. Most I have ever paid for a single bottle of beer ($20!) but it all worked out. I made an easy 20 today anyway. Going to stuff it in the root cellar for a month or two.
I let it be known once at home that another bottle would make an excellent Christmas stocking stuffer.
Still wanting to find some regular, non barrel aged Narwhal for the collection.
Must keep hunting......
Oh, and tonight it is Sleigh'r and Snow cap. And Hockey. _________________ nothing |

Last night out of the house with the spouse for dinner -Old Rasputin Imperial Stout 9% abv & le fin du monde 9% abv a Belgian style beer (from Quebec) - both draft. Fairly disappointed with ORIS, not sure why - thought it was a bit too bitter & burned tasting for me. the lfd was a little more interesting, but a little to orange-y and clove tasting. Wife liked the le fin du monde Wouldn't order either again.

Looked through a "50 best beers" list and saw this local beer, so thought I'd try it.

Much like the le fin du monde I had Friday night. More subtle in its flavors and sort of more blended. Thought it more a cross between a Belgian style & IPA as it was orange & clove and that after bite of an IPA. Good beer, but 50 best? Don't think so. |

Picked up a 6er' of Leinenkugels Snowdrift Vanilla Porter.
Not too bad.. but seemed kinda flat in comparison to others.
Taste wasn't overpowering and it is smooth.
