hey,
if you put a thing body on a ghia pan and suspension and all that is it automatically lowered a couple of inches? also what mods need to happen to bolt the body to the pan?

Check out page 6 on this fourm and look at "will a thing body fit on a ghia pan" -this might help you out. I'm thinking that the steering shaft angle will probably be off too. The seats would need to be switched out to get the right height - the sliders might not line up for a straight swap. You could just put a type 1 beam on the front - that alone should drop it 2 inches and if you've got an adjustable beam you could drop it till the tires rub the wheel wells. The back of the Thing could be lowered just like a bug by turning it a few splines.
