I purchased a very nice set of 1:1.25 rockers from Brothers, and they got to Colorado within a couple of days! The quality of the rockers was outstanding and set-up has proven to be very easy as compared to other rocker assemblies. I'll be giving Brothers more business very soon! |

As for the T4 heads I saw Nato doing a set and he explained in detail the original factory problem and how the Brothers solved it. I would not hesitate to have them do any aircooled machine work/modify for reliability. They are so "in-tune" with air-cooled it is amazing. They are true masters of their art. And I am very, very picky of who does my work .vwdon |

Just got through with a grueling 700 mile trip in snow, mud, and long grades (SST) with my Brothers built 1600 DP in my 64 crew cab, really happy with the quality and attention to detail. I will be installing a 1915cc motor with counter weighted crank they built for me this spring. |

Took a bunch of parts toBrothers Machine shop, i told Renalto my build plans and he gave me some advice on some machine work i would of overlooked. He asked how fast i needed it i told him to take his time it was done in a week, all of the work looks great and came back clean ready for assembly -there is no better machine shop here's a list of what they did:
Cranks: inspected and polished
Flywheel: eight dowell, surfaced, lightened
Case: align bore, full flow, sand sealed, shuffle pin center mains, new case savers, sand seal, stroker clearance, bore for 90.5/92
94 Cylinders: Machine base to fit 90.5/92
Crank, Rods, Flywheel, pistons, Pressure Plate dynamically balanced _________________ Zombie

I am a pain in the ass customer. Not only am I broke and they meet all prices I toss at them but I tell them I need a set of stock rebuilt heads at noon and need them shipped today... they do it.
This will be probably my 15th order from them and I have never been disappointed.
I've got one set of heads on there way to me right now, I should have them Friday and I'm ordering another set today.
Here is a set of D port, welded and port matched to the manifolds SINGLE PORT heads..... yea... they make performance SP's!
Can you believe these cost me under $500 an it only took a week to get?!

Bought a set of 94mm Mahle slip in cylinders, called to order them last Friday. They took a normal set from stock, machined them down to fit my case and had them to my house (in SC) by the next Friday! Great prices too! I will definitly send all my machine work needs to these guys on my next engine build. Thanks again!
Edit: Forgot to mention that they went ahead and clearanced the cylinders around the case inserts too! _________________ Strive for perfection in everything. Take the best that exist and make it better. If it doesn't exist, create it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough."

I just had Brothers install lifter bore sleeves in a case for me. Beautiful job. I was impressed by the fact that they called me and asked me to send them one of the lifters I was going to use to insure they finished-honed the bores for a perfect fit.
I've had a few other cases sleeved by two other companies, and Neither of them asked for a lifter to get it sized correctly.
I'll be sending more work their way for sure.

I recently had a 1641 built by bronters. I could not be more pleased by the motor i revieced. Excellent quality machine work, and top quality parts. These guys are great!! I placed my order and within a week and a half, the motor was at my door. Pretty awesome considering im on the other side of the country. Price was so fair, i couldnt buy the parts for what they charged me. I would recommend them to anyone, and when i decide to go bigger, i will give them a call for sure. Thanks guys!!!!

Another happy customer!
Brothers did an align bore, thrust cut, cut for thick wall 88s, and installed bronze lifter bores. Very nice work!

I held off writing a review of Brothers until I had a put their engine thru it's paces.
In October 2010, I ordered a 1904 (74x90.5) dual port longblock for a 60 Panel. It arrived withing 3 weeks of ordering and was clean and exactly as I ordered it. After installation, it drove well and came with instructions for valve clearance and maintainance schedule.
I drove the hell out it of since getting it and it has not at any time disappointed me at all.
In December 2010, I ordered a second 1904, this time single port for my other panel. Another very good engine which has not failed to amaze me.
Brother VW is my new engine supplier and can count on my future business.
Highly Recommended !!!
Thank you Brother,

I'd like to leave feedback for Brothers about my great transaction with them.
I ordered a set of Mahle piston/cylinders. Great price. Shipped super fast. It was very nice to order something and get it in hand in the same week.
Thanks! |

Back into the scene after a while and been reading a lot.
I was about to order about $5K in parts from these guys including some specialized machine work and read this thread and it scared the shit out of me.
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=451251
If it wasnt so much cash I would not worry but it is so Im asking.
Anyone else have any similar problems? |

i just used these guys to do some head work and bought some parts.
they were super helpful and quick and prices were reasonable.
i live close enough to drive there and i was happy with everything. nato is super nice and all the parts came back clean and nicely packed and ready to use.
i read thru the thread about the bad engine and i find i cant even believe it. after meeting these guys and hanging out in their shop i would never think that was possible. i would definitely trust them to build a motor for me. |
