Thanks Wythac,
All credit for the buggy goes to member "ronald sawyers", very talented builder made a great ride.
I was looking for quite awhile and finally found one that spoke to me. First buggy, the family and I are LOVING it!!
Cheers,
Chad |

Bruce Meyers told me that the fiberglass layup for the 'Purple Potato Chip' was 'custom' like 2 layers of 2oz cloth. He said it was pretty flexible.
Any idea where that car is now? |

I've been inspired by many of your buggys, so I just had to create my own.
I started with an 80;s buggy and have totally redone it. The teardrop trailer I started from scratch.
This is how it came out:

You aren't kidding! If you look at the side picture above, it had doors chopped out, and then bolted back in, both the spare tire and battery boxes chopped out, and 367 holes in the body. Everything was expertly glassed back in (not a single drop of bondo was used) to perfection (ok, the battery box is 1" shallower than original to allow for a 2" vs 3" lift needed for the IRS chassis), and I'm the happiest camper out there. The metalflake glimmers too much to allow the camera to focus on the paint job. _________________ -(Loretta) Manx # M2940D910E on customized 1970 chassis by Joescoolcustoms

This is mine , so far. I just got it on the road Thursday and been having a ball with it since! I have more to do (Paint, powder, Rhino line, a little more roll bar, Ansen Sprints w/big "fatties' in the back, bikini, etc.) but I wanted to drive it this summer so the fiberglass can settle out.
I was also looking for a forum to put the build pix on but I guess I will just start a new thread for that.
Hope it meets you guys standards!! I know you all have some awesome buggy's!!!!
BTW, several of you have been instrumental in helping me along with mine with answers, suggestions and tips. And for that, I would again like to give you all a sincere "THANK YOU"!! I really do appreciate it when someone helps me and I hope I can help others in the future.
OK, well, I'm hoping they will show up here when I hit submit. They did post to the Gallery. If it doesn't work, I'll try again.
Thanx!!
OK< had to do some editing, but I think this will work.

If you were referring to mine, thank you.
Here's another cool picture from the same visit. You can see three states in this picture. Far left is NJ (monument in the distance - highest point in NJ - called High Point), NY in the foreground - city is Port Jervis, and PA on the far side of the river (Delaware) to the right of the picture.
