Seems pretty high for 2 outer notches of course all cars are a little different. Looks great.

Yeah it sat pretty high before I dropped it down... Maybe I'll go down another notch. Not sure yet. This is a almost a daily driver so I'm not trying to bottom out whenever I hit a pot hole. Might just raise the front a little more just to level things out but I don't have a low profile jack DOH! I might just have to get it up on some 2x4's lol First time lowering. Embarassed

I feel like disc brakes are a bit overkill for a bug. I mean unless you drive it like a Subwru wrx. When I upgrade my motor I'll go with a little more stopping power and probably look into BAD series brakes with wildwood calipers from airkewld. For now I figured empi disc brakes are fine and they stop really well. No issues with flexing. Turning the bleed valve vertical helped get all the air out of the system. I'm happy with em. Very Happy

Thanks for the comments
I'll try to post more pictures when I can

Hey guys, can anyone tell me if it is perfectly safe to run 1 outer spline? Can the gear oil reach the bearings at this angle? I have 2.75 drop plates with 205/70s and the outer end of the axle is higher than the transmission side. I am running a big engine and don't need extra wear on fulcrums. Thanks

Dropped two splines on the rear (outer) and EMPI drop spindles up front. Tires are 145 up front and 165 in back.

Front:
175/65/15"narrow, drop spindles, stock shocks, 2.5 ground clearance, zero front camber

Rear:
205/65/15, 3/8 wheel spacer, stock shocks, 2 outer clicks

Ride is good, but I want it to handle better.

^^Nice car man! Some drop plates would help you out if the rear is that bad.

Does anyone else with a lowered rear end and fat rear tires/wide rims have a problem with the tire rubbing on the rear body mount? If so, what did you do about it? Spacer? Grinder? Raise the rear a click to remove some of the negative camber?
