So.....when it comes to 5 spokes:

Do you prefer Chromed or a nicely detailed/polished aluminum wheel???

Chrome has become so popular now days, but polished still has a nice touch. What's your flava???

I would go polished. Chrome is weak. I don't like chroming an alloy wheel.

On 5 spokes theres no comparison between chromed and polished 5 spokes. Polished 5 spokes always look dull and dont get shiney like polished Fuchs do, so with fuchs its a different story because they polish up like chrome.

Once you get your first set of chromed 5 spokes, you'll never want polished 5's again.

Mine are polished, it's not that bad. Once they're done up, maintaining them is the key. Waxing them every week once polished makes a huge difference. The constant agitation, and sealing them from the elements does definitely help.

Yes, I guess the polished one I posted was a bit unfair because obviously those werent kept up. But like you say you gotta stay on top of them more often. I just like my wheels to be shiney as possible. We used to call chrome 5's "Glass Slippers" back when nobody had them. Laughing

Chrome.

Would you rather have a girlfriend that looks good when she wakes up (chrome wheels), or a girl that only looks good with an hour of makeup (polished wheels).

I come from the Cal-Look scene, so I always go for the polished wheels. Chrome to me looks cheap on wheels.

I can't explain it, but I like polished aluminum over chrome, maybe it's the softer look of the metal when polished or how close I live to the beach and maintenance?

I would rather take care of aluminum over chrome with the rust issue of chrome in the salt air. When aluminum is polished right, you can fool alot of people. Wink

But I am talking about Fuchs here, if I was rollin' 5 spokes,

they would be chromed!

Yep Like I said earlier, 5 spokes definitely because they have a limit to their shine, unlike fuchs that polish up like chrome.

BTW, unless the wheels are steel underneath the chrome, they cant rust Wink

You sure? I have seen chromed (late) fuchs that have rusted, then the chrome flakes off from a crappy chrome job in the first place. Laughing

I've seen where the copper underneath the chrome pops up through the chrome and pits. Is that what you mean?
