I had to replace the trunk handle on my 70, got one at the local picknpull for a song.
If that is not an option, look into any vw shop also, the trunk handle is a discard item for guys makingbajas and sandrails, so they would likely have one floating around _________________ 69/70 chop refurbed from a 70 baja |

The latches are available from almost anyone online - Wolfsburg west, CIP1 - almost anybody... As far as outside latch only (without using inside release), not aware of one. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

this is one odd post
i dont like the lock...
ok , it has 2 parts
1; the main latch that locks it. from inside. (where you put that cable and lever is your wish, it can go anywhere. (given custom cable)
2: the other lock is a FAIL SAFE. it KEEPS the hood from flying off car
if the #1 lock fails.
that is the purpose of each, neither are optional at all.
i get all parts
from Bughuas.com, not one bad part from them ever...
others, are weak, CIP1 is land mines...aplenty.
exceptions... Wolfburg west and aircooled .net very good. |

At 1:30 AM you might want to be a tad bit more patient. _________________ 1973 Sports Bug (Super) |
