What's the story with the pulley/tensioner? That looks like a great engine!

It's a serpentine belt system.

Well just have a few issues to work out. I still can't get it in reverse. Played with the shift plate and did about every adjustment I could. (Type 1 trans 4:12 with Type 3 axles and tubes) My front drums are also rubbing on the backing plates, (1964 and later spindles with new drums bearings, shoes and wheel cylinders) but other than those issues it is pretty much ready to go. Can't work on it for the next four days but I am ready to drive it. Just for kicks I pushed it out of the drive and drove it around the block. First time this thing ran on its own power in over 15 years or so. And damn it has some power, more than any VW I have ever owned. It wanted to GOOOOOO! Anyway if anyone has any sugestions about my backing plates or not getting it into reverse let me know.

What id you use for a hockey stick in the nose cone?
A lot of people think T1/T3 and Bus are the same, but they aren't.

If you have a T1/T3 hockey stick in there, that's the problem.

Glad to hear it's almost done.

I used this bus nose cone and hockey stick. Is this the wrong hockey stick?

Great job; like the subtle lowering and non-blinged look. One of the best looking buses I've seen on here.

Here is the idea for the logos on my bus. Logoing it for my business. Lost alot of quality changing from a pdf to a jpg. I think I am going with the sides but probably not the front. This will give you an idea though.

No they are vinyl. They are a real pain to get on. Each color is a seperate piece, so the black back ground is one piece the eyes the shoes the hands and each piece of yellow as well.

I like the sides. My vote is no front decal.

Silly question, but you did put the inner wheel bearing spacer on right?

I got all of that stuff sorted out. Thanks for a the reply. There is no innner spacer on the later spindles like there is on the earlier ones. All it was, was my backing plates were a little out of wack. Nothing a block and hammer couldn't fix Laughing

Looks very cool Josh. Nice idea on putting padding on that pole. Saves your door and keeps the neighbor girls off of it too Laughing .

Are you coming to Denver tomorrow for the VWOTG?
