Back in the day that load was probably worth more than the bus, even though that looks like Mexi. Any pounds of the purp? Wink

Someone else mentioned that "they" could take the bus too, however, suppose you don't get that stuff cleaned out of there good enough and some day you end up in the wrong place at the wrong time and some dog sniffs the stuff out?!?!?!? Shocked

I'd first try to contact them with a "what if" story. "What if I bought a used car that had sat on a field and passed through a few owners and upon starting a resto I find this stuff...?" Getting a "feel" of how they'd react to it. I'd rather they come get this stuff and be "on the record" that it isn't mine and all I want is to have the vehicle. Once "cleared" of that, they will know this is your bus and you have nothing to do with the stuff. With that you'd prolly never get pulled over again and they'd prolly even wave at you every time they see you! Razz

Good luck either way, both legally and with the bus project! Cool

Back when I was in college, a pound of mexi brick could be moved for $1k each, which was around 1990. Seeds and all. x14 = $14k.

That would buy you alot of funky green panels.

Oh - and dont ask me how I know.

I like an honestly named bus!

You did right to dispose of the haul yourself. For one thing, it's ancient skank weed that is likely worthless, but still illegal. I imagine it is rotten, dry or otherwise unsmokable. Besides, it would have to compete with the likes of BC bud in todays market.
If you inform the authorities of the find, you are setting yourself up for grief. There is no upside to letting your local constabulary deal with the haul and there is enormous potential for all kinds of trouble. All it takes is one of your local finest who thinks there's more to the story than you're telling and your life is Hell.
Quietly haul it to the landfill and wash your hands of the leaf is the only wise move.
Now you have a very cool story and an honestly named bus!

It's those little, magical moments that make life worth living. All I found in my cargo belly were rat turds, they don't smoke so well. Seriously though, the Bussmuggler is accepting donations to his Elevated Bus Restoration Fund. Those sacks would do nicely!

How much trouble would I have gotten into if that was found when I was hauling it across the AZ /CA border, CA / NV border, NV / UT border, UT / CO border??

People would be calling me the new improved Mike Hornbecker.....
