yeah, I had to write about it... TOO funny. It's also been on Digg for 4 days now. Though with only 7 diggs, I doubt the Samba will experience the full brunt of a "Digg effect."

And the first thing you did, before you posted pictures on a public forum with your ADDRESS in them was call the Sherriff's office and have them come by your house and take the stuff cause that's dealer quantity and most states arent that cool about that much weed.. course if a few lbs didnt quite make it into the pictures.. Twisted Evil

Like thats really smokeable. Rolling Eyes Fuck, that bus came from Yuma so you know thats some mexican bammer bud.

josh, you shoulda steamed it and slanged it at Jerome to the stinkfoots.

A little late to the game for a reply... but Skim... you think there are hippies left in Jerome?! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Not with the cost of housing here... Maybe a couple, but probably fewer than most places now-a-days. Flagstaff would have gotten MUCH better sales.

Yeah great! It has been years since I was active in the ACVW bus scene and I took crap over this story at work today! =)
I had a hard-ass Engineer friend call me over to his cube asking if I had ever owned a 58 DD Panel.
No, but I had seen several ads over the years for similar items.

Then he sprung this story on me that he picked up from Autoblog or some other source. It is NOT cool to be anywhere near to or associated with such stuff and maintain employment at the place where we currently work.

Yup, have seen interesting contraband in various VWs that I have owned. My usual ritual was to conduct a "roach check" asap upon taking possession of any vehicle. Seeds, old bags, misc roaches and one one occassion found some teeny tiny stamps in the space between the nose skin and front floor panels. In spite of working in the AZ sun with sweaty hands I remain non-"Experienced" in that regard.

Wow! curious find. Flatly I am more amazed that you found an affordable bus more than you found 14 lbs of Mota. Have not seen either in years...

since I helped set up the deal between the previous owner and the current owner, I wonder if that makes me an accessory to an old ass drug deal. Rolling Eyes Surprised

I once worked at a repair facility where the gov was buying some old Eastern planes and converting them to cargo carriers. One morning one of the hangars was surrounded by feds, as someone dropped a ceiling panel in the lav and bags of pot fell down from where there was once insulation. These planes had sat in the dessert for at least 10 years. The airline shut down quickly (I had flown to Cancun Friday night and one day later didn't have a ride back. I was no longer in a hurry, tho, with no job to go back to. I moved off the beach and stayed a few more weeks. My girlfriend had to call around to find who would still accept an Eastern pass). Most likely the plane landed in Miami and was immidiately taken out of service, leaving no cleaning crew to retrieve the 'package'.
We all fantasized about finding the stash, but in reality no one knew who it could be safely sold to.

In 1968 I bought a 53 bus - no rear door above engine bay, solenoid activated arms that swung out behind the driver's door for turn signals, no ignition key - just a switch and button, no gas gauge - but there was a manual valve in the back to access the reserve gas... man, I loved that thing! I paid $80 for it.
