hello all,

I try to tune my 181 by my self.... but I need someone to crank (turn ignition key) engine, to see what trouble the engine has.

as simplicity, can I just cheat direct control starter motor? I crank engine by myself without, begging other people to do so Razz

clip direct control (50 at wiring diagram) and connect it to positive side battery. I think when you turn ignition key, direct control get current by 12v.

It is safe to cheat direct control?

thanks

Safe enough, just make darn sure the car is in neutral, check it at least twice!!!

cAN BE DONE BY JUST HOOKING TWO ALLIGATOR CLIPS TO THE STARTER MAIN CONNECTION (13 mm nuT) THE RED WIRE AND THE BLACK WIRE TO THE SOLENOID,
MAKE THOSE TWO TOGETHER WITH THE KEY IN THE ON POSITION TO START.

I do declare, kids these days don't involve their friends nearly as much as they used to.

I made one from an old back-up light switch I had laying in the spares box. Connect two wires to this, each about 3-feet long, one with an alligator clip and the other with a female spade terminal. Clip one wire to the positive terminal on the battery, and the other wire goes on the solenoid. Push the button on the switch and the engine cranks.

MAKE SURE IT'S IN NEUTRAL!!

yup check gear first. mandatory period.

then when you plug/ clip +12v be carefull. don't let this clip touch negative earthed body.

today I saw a firework for my own stupidity Sad( I clip + lead to cut out regulator. and fire it up for 3 or 5 second Sad(( nothing harm and I think regulator is fine

for rule of thumb clip + lead at open space, don't clip at closed space or near negative earthed body.

my regulator is mounted at firewall., and regulator body is negative earthed

doh.. my engine still won't start Sad((((

sorry Papa... I don't mean to do it by my self. just simplicity when I work alone. that's all

usually I ask my daddy a favor, such as turn the key etc

poor me, my dad had severe pain at his hand joint this moment.
