Not in a personal sense........... I'm sure you're fine. It is just such a strange accessory to want reproduced, especially since they were such "crap" when they were were first produced and had such a limited initial acceptance by the VW Ghia community. Having owned a couple of Ghia's .......It would be the LAST accessory I would consider for those cars. (Sorry if you misunderstood my expression )

I like Ghias, and I like fake-exotic nose grilles. I take it you aren't familiar with my hatred of fatchick bugs, love of VW kit cars and mutilation of a Hazet spare-tire tool kit. _________________ HBB-RW-Mongo63

The Gallery, but you do have rather eccentric taste on the other site; definitely a different drummer. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

True... perhaps living in Eugene, drinking copious amounts of local beer, and spending hours in junkyards looking for project-car parts did it to me. _________________ HBB-RW-Mongo63

I didn't think it was possible, but this thread went from downhill to a sheer dropoff. Getting back on subject, I am definitely going to make some VDO 5000RPM Redline tachs in 80mm as soon as I finish some other obligations. _________________ Check my classifieds for kewl gauges:

I think the "Cardinal Rule" before you can post on the subject of making reproductions of rare VW accessories is you must replace your wife's wedding ring with Cubic Zirconia and see how that goes over.

I don't think it was mentioned, 3 spoke steering wheels like the ones in early "Standard" bugs.

do you have the '56-'60 style? those are so super rare. it is the most commonly missing part on restored beetles of that era. like over 95% either don't have it or have the wrong style. most people don't even know what they look like. _________________ .
