You see them on mine. There's actually four of them if they are all there, at least on the 60's ones. You can see a couple of them here:

I have no better pics I didn't think about that when I had it off. |

In my '65 it has the original one in it and those are hidden and up under the cowl where they sit. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

Also a painted "full circle" Petri horn ring for a 1956 to 1959 steering wheel. |
Doesn't Koch's repop those? |
I would love to see some one repop the hell out of this horn ring. There are lots of potential steering wheels out there that could benefit of a nice ring. Current prices for OG horn rings are overstated, with on average at least $600,- for just a horn ring.
Or, if you don't want to devalue the OG horn rings, then why not come up with a new design that fits the '53 thu '59 steering wheels....
And it's not impossible to repop horn rings for sure... (look at these younger model horn rings): http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=282325

And how about the Karmann Ghia lowlight "grey horn ring cover plate" on the lowlight steering wheel?
Virtually impossible to get one of these '58 or '59 grey covers. It's located on top of the horn ring, and holds the wolfsburg emblem in place.
It might be possible to repop a version of that grey cover that fits both the '58 version (with the screw holes on the front) as well as the '59 version (that pushes on top of the horn ring).
Personally I would prefer a metal or aluminum version, since that is more durable (although a plastic of fiberglass version is much cheaper to produce probably).
hope that some one picks this up, because I need one
Of course I'll buy an original, if you happen to have have an original for sale!!! (you can PM me)
And if any one is already repopping these grey covers, then please let me know too, so I can go buy one there??
Thanks very much! _________________ drive it like you just robbed the bank

hi John,
how about some more of those super-cool Karmann Ghia "arco" style wind deflectors which clip on to the rain gutter, the ones that you produced a while ago? I would definitely buy a set now a have a lowlight.
Your quality is always excellent! _________________ drive it like you just robbed the bank

See if house of ghia mike, or chris if he pics up.if they have any left. 5039992215. If they don't most of the left over parts went to kgpr scott.u can try him .tell him the parts r in copellos parts he bought awhile ago.
I don't see them being made anytime soon. There's a lot of supply cost in those.not to mention a lot of tooling I lost.since everyone won't spend any money. I really can't run anything. |

The aluminum sunroof deflector for the sliding steel sunroof. That's the last thing I need to finish my car. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I've got a '67 tin sunroof and don't know what you're referring to? _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

I don't have a photo, but it was a swanky German accessory that fit the front lip of the sunroof to deflect air over the top. It wasn't gaudy looking, like some of the deflectors you see for the vinyl sunroof cars.
There were two versions. One was stationary aluminum, and there was also a trick version that popped up when you opened the steel slider. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.
