My father in law is pretty handy with wood. Ok, a genius when it comes to working with wood. He made an exact wooden copy of the plastic trim and it is awesome. Didn't take long at all.

I spoke to John Copello today. Apparently Mike at House of Ghia has ordered a few sets and will be selling them soon. Contact him.

Was it chromed plastic or silver paint? I have a set that looks to be silver paint.

If anyone wants some dash '66 trim I can give you the whole blue dashboard for free. It's in great shape since it's been in my garage since the 80's. The catch is you have to pick it up. I'm in NVa near DC.

Should be chromed, per se. House of Ghia (in the Jim Patterson days) told customers that if the trim was flaking that they should look for a place that could replate old Mustang armrests. Not cheap. Sounds like someone may have painted yours in the past. I picked up an old 1966 convertible in the late 80's with only one of the pieces intact, and the plating was 80% flaked off.
