I'm finally through my wiring woes (are we ever really through?), and am looking to license this Thing. I want to install seat belts with the shoulder harness (is that called a 3-point?). Will the shoulder harness just bolt in between the front and rear doors, or will have to make special modifications?

As always, any help is most appreciated!

That door post is pretty low. I had to bolt mine to the roll bar.

Yes.. I like to drill a hole in the roll cage. GEt a third point female from a bug adn weld it inside the cage pipe then use the factory bolt and washer set-up and it is safe and clean.

Are you in Europe? I have seen pictures of Trekkers with a center door post extension which provides a higher point to attach a shoulder belt. Maybe it was a factory/dealer accessory?

markie61, the door post extension that you are talking about was a factory installed thing for all RHD 181's ... i.e. all 182's.

The door post extension did exist for LHD 181's too. I had a 1977 military thing in France with those and I could put some 3 points seat belts.
