I thought they only painted Beetle's that 'color'. I just decided to keep the car the plain old boring white, with black interior |

Not my style and most things "tye died" are a bit overdone these days, but I would roll in that ghia! I'd say it time we all give up the Porsche Red, all too common ghia theme. _________________ David W - from Chesterfield, VA / Jefferson SD / Stephens City, VA in that order.

It didn't sell on that infamous auction site we all know.
But it's been re-listed and so still up for grabs. _________________ ****************************

My '74 is repainted its original Bahia (Porsche) Red, and my '59 will be redone in its original Brilliant (VW) Red someday.
But I know what you mean... When I first rolled out my cabios in '96, first show there were four red cabrios other than mine and you could see where at least three of them were born other colors. Red looks great on a Ghia, but it's overdone. _________________ Mr. Bill |

I know it's a solid color, but it really does look sharp. But then again, it is my car
It really looks nice when you powder coat the engine tin to match.

Mine will be Volkswagen Blue on all of the INSIDE surfaces, and another color on all of the OUTSIDE surfaces (I'm thinking a shade of gray/silver). _________________ Jason Hopper

That's Candy Red from House of Colors. Two coats of silver, 3 coats of candy and 3 coats of clear. |

It just sold on eBay with a second-time-around relisting.
$3,950.00 to a buyer with (0) Feedback.
It may come up for sale again shortly. _________________ ****************************

That Falcon is the one they did on some stupidly low budget. It's almost entirely Rustoleum or something like that. Looks pretty decent from 20 feet as I recall, and up close it's a little sketchy. That said, it only cost around $99 and it doesn't look bad by any means. _________________ Jason Hopper
