I'm going to get mine repainted back to it's original Trout Blue color, but I'm going to flop the interior colors...
Originally, the interior was dark blue leatherette with a medium grey corduroy insert, panels were the same dark blue with the grey at the top (57 model).
I'm going to go with a smoke grey vinyl with cobalt blue inserts in microfiber. Panels the same, smoke grey vinyl with the cobalt microfiber on top (same pattern as original).
On top of that, I'm going to carry the cobalt accents....
engine tins powercoated cobalt (silver/blue main pulley)
wiring cover in the trunk painted cobalt
After I set the front wheels to discs (I live in Memphis. Discs are a MUST, ask hpw) I'll paint the calipers cobalt as well
*possibly* paint the VW logo on the caps cobalt as well, but the wife wants them left alone (they're unpainted, just chrome, now)
