Am new member to samba.Currently own '71 westy but have been searching for '67 split or older bus.Have questios regarding(what I've seen advertized) about narrowed, adjustable beams & dropped spindles? Are these considered for primarily lowering purposes?Advantages vs. disadvantages, presuming these altercations taken previous stock vehicles to non-stock & for what purposes/functionality?Also about overall perfomance & sometimes wanting higher ground/dirt/offpaved road clearance. Not clear to me.Can someone please help with more imfo. Thanks! |

All of your questions can be answered by using the 'Search' feature...The subject of lowered v. stock has been discussed ad nauseum on this site. How you plan to use your Split bus once found will dictate your suspension set-up. Also, I would suggest looking in the site dictionary under the 'Technical' header to define some of the terms you have questions about. Everything you ever wanted to know about a VW is to be found here, but the search button will be your best friend...Enjoy and happy hunting for the bus of your dreams _________________

^^read this thread start to finish. when you are done and confused, read it again. then ask questions there. this thread is primarily for tire sizes. youll get more replies there.
best advice i can give you is search before you post or youll get flamed everytime. _________________ 1960 Bus Panel/Camper |
