Don't forget the ugliest Riviera ever!
I'd really like to replace or rebuild the interior. I've since acquired an EZ camper bed mechanism and cushions. Can I use these?
I'll get interior pictures posted as soon as i clear all of my boxes of parts out of the inside. |
Bull, dude! That's the coolest Riviera ever!
As for using the EZ interior...really, the inside of a bus is pretty consistent from year to year. You should be able to use it with few modifications...and those really should just be for the windows since they're different on an EZ. _________________ 9th Owner of a 1971 Tintop Westy

Hey Mike!!! Thanks for posting the pics! I really need to get some more of mine up. And NorCal - my Riv was built Feb. 21. Yours is 3 weeks older than mine! Was yours imported into Seattle as well? For that matter, would all Rivieras have a Seattle import code? Nice buses. If any of you have more pics please post them. I have not seen many other Rivieras and I am thoroughly enjoying this new-found solidarity! _________________ '67 Riviera |

I would think they would all have the US import code for Seattle, but I'm not sure. Since this kits were made in Oregon that would make sense. I'm pretty sure my Riv has a US code, but it's been awhile since I checked the m-plate. _________________

I just love this one:
Another shot of the side, with just the tent frame:
The crusty tile floor was removed and I put this piece of checkered linoleum in. (Sorry the pic's so dark.) My wife made new curtains as the old ones were pretty brittle. I still have them if anyone wants to make some if yours are missing; I'd be happy to take measurements and post the dimensions. _________________

Oddly enough my bus came into the Baltimore area first, but must have headed West quickly.
And triple6, what's your VIN #? I'm curious to see how far apart ours are. I'm 217089722. _________________ 9th Owner of a 1971 Tintop Westy

Groovy. Hard to say from the two pics, but it looks 60s or 70s era judging by the hammered copper finish hardware. I'm certainly no expert, though, so maybe others may know. Looks like a cooker fits in the slot. Do you still have it? Any more pics of the bus? _________________

full view cabinet, side of cooler was replaced. I am looking for a small coolerbox and seat for the area occupied by this cabinet for expanded family in matching paneling

Cool stuff, the closet looks kinda like an EZ or caravelle maybe? That bulkhead cabinet is cooler than a 70s dresser.
Does the fridge have any markings? Ive got a crazy 63 conversion camper that i cant identify but the fridge handle looks the same as yours. I found a sticker inside it that say Mobile Metal Products, Gardena, CA.
But then again, i think these american conversions used lots of off the shelf RV parts.
Cool stuff though _________________ Show your love for the Land of Kong:

There sure seem to be a lot of '67 Riviera's. Mine was born in March of '67. I'd love to have yours amg3. It was born on my birthday. _________________

Indeed, lots of '67s. Anyone know of or sold a Riviera to anyone on the other side of the pond? I'm curious to know how far the NW Riviera has reached!

Hey triple...810 buses apart? That's awesome!! Might be the closest one yet I've found to mine!
And I know I've seen ads in Volksworld for a couple Rivieras that have made their way to the shores of her Majesty's land! _________________ 9th Owner of a 1971 Tintop Westy

They were built on Buses that were already delivered to the United States--most have a Portland--UP-code or Seattle--US-code entry code but could have a different entry code--Mine entered at San Francisco -UF-code---Built in Vancouver WA--and sold at Carter VW in Seattle
