|
|
I've been going back and forth about having a reputable builder (along the lines of ACE or Steelbuggin) make me up a performance longblock. I'd like a 1904 that makes 130-140hp, will sit in traffic and drive all day at 60mph without getting hot and will hold together for 75,000 miles or so. Reliability and long term durability are key. What does something like this cost from a GOOD engine builder. I know I could call and ask but I'm still on the fence about getting a motor at all or just sticking with my warmed over 1600. I would really hate to waste their time until I'm more sure, and for that I could use some ballpark prices. Thanks. |

Longblock for $5000? For that price it should be closer to a turnkey. _________________ www.zwerks.ca |

Any one notice the fuel filter? I was kinda of shocked to see that, as I thought that was a no no. |
Its before the fuel pump so thats pretty ok, the problems usually come from when its between the fuel pump and the carb. |

Actually, it shouldn't be there at all. It should be next to the trans, and out of the engine compartment completely. _________________ '67 Sunroof

well if we are going that route, then it shouldn't be on a pallet. It should be in the car. _________________ Semper Fi
