Spent the weekend in Pisgah Nat'l Forest in Western NC. Found a great spot off of FR1206 to sleep but spent the morning on the Parkway with a much better view.

Is this a new slider-door mod coming up? Wink Looks like it would fit nicely, facing outwards on slide-out tracks, like one of those pop-out rooms on an RV Rolling Eyes

That would be an interesting replacement for a rear hatch

Hey! You could have your very own hydroponic, organic, pesticide- free, climate controlled garden, fed from the sink pump and...and...living under the bridge down by the river...and...and...oh, sorry..I was having another flashback...
I like the sunroof option. John in GA

haha! must be living in vancouver. i got the inflatable too. where the heck would you store a solid boat?? guess i could keep a tin tippy on my roof all the time since there's no room to store it!

I tried driving once with my zodiac fully inflated on the roof to let it dry before packing it up and found out what porpoise would do if i strapped him to the roof. not good!

Didn't have any problem transporting the zodiac on the roof..
Though lake is only 30 min away..it just make it easy on loading
Instead of pumping it up on the boat ramp. But for long trip. I store the zod
Inside the van folded of course Wink

Took Philmore way up in the mountains for his first Aurora hunting trip.

May he enjoy many more.

I think he's going to make a "Bay Window" model out of it.

Took me to my favorite local State Park puddle. The Old Town Rush fits nicely inside for short trips.

We observed numerous examples of the North American Hippy (Granolia Stinkfutius) in their natural habitat up at Nedfest Saturday. www.nedfest.org

My daughter cleverly parked us right next to the bubbling mountain stream AND the gentlemen from the Lefthand Brewery.
We lazed away the afternoon, sitting out in the bright sunshine and chatting in the van during the brief mountain showers, enjoying the sublime benefits of both.

Sunday we used it as a base to watch the criterium ending of the last day of the USA Pro Challenge bike race in Denver.

It's so nice to be posting lately in the "Things your van did recently" thread rather than in the "What did YOU do to your van today?" thread.

I needed a quiet place to start reviewing a pile of complicated proposals, so I took Tunes out to my favorite overlook...
(that's the Boulder Flatirons under Green Mountain, with Longs Peak in the far distance)

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

...opened the windows and spend a couple hours lounging in the back reading while she slept in the shade under the bus.
It's not a bad office, not bad at all.
If this keeps up, I'll be able to write the cost of maintaining this thing off on my taxes.

We hauled sound gear and did the audio for the Sherrie Hildreth Ovarian Cancer Walk in Clackamas, Oregon...a good friend of mine is involved in this event so Jacob and I do the sound for them. The Westy is pretty full of black boxes and road cases.

Since this is an early-morning event we drove over the night before and slept in the van, I had to move a few cases to the front seat and some to the upper bunk to get some of the bed open for sleeping. Just another great thing about having a Westy!
