Roof rack is not my kind of Ghia accessory but if I ever change my mind Vintage speed roofrack will be my choise. Slick and "Ghia design compatible".

Hi Gang,
I put a rack from Custom Auto Racks on my 69' a few months ago. I'm finally getting around posting some photos. I think the rack looks great!
Thanks,

Vintage speed rack is nice. I don't have a rack but if I did I think I would opt for Pedro's Rack. Functional but not as top heavy as the original...

I've been meaning to post photos of my Pedro's Racks rack for my Ghia, which I got a couple of months ago. I needed a functional rack (was using a Yakima) and Pedro custom designed mine to be able to accept standard rack attachments. Here's a shot from today with my road bike...
Note the beefier cross bars and hold down clamps at all four corners...
Very functional and much classier than the Yakima. I'm very pleased. |

Back in the early nineties I had a rear mounted ski rack for my vert, which I used on a skiing trip to Austria. I'll see if I can dig out a photo of it in use. |
