I ordered a fan shroud and miscellaneous engine tin for my 64 bug from lou back around christmas. It was sent out in a very reasonable amount of time but unfortunately was lost in the mail. I sent him an e-mail notifying him of the delay and he checked in with his local usps guys. They said they had confirmed delivery. As I didn't have the box in hand, I went to my post office and explained what was up. They searched around to no avail. After talking things over with lou he offered a full refund! I said to wait a couple of days and I would call up my local mail carrier (got his number from the post office.)

Well today I found a box from lou on my doorstep. (21 days after shipping) I brought it upstairs and opened it up to find a "truck carry case." It's basically a toy semi truck filled with little plastic toy cars. the wrapping was labeled "received in damaged condition" and the box was mostly crushed. I e-mailed lou and he responded right back with his phone number. Well we just got off the phone and he is on his way home to refund me my money.

Moral of the story here is that Lou is an honest and ethical guy and even if the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE ROYALLY SCREWS THINGS UP, he is still offered me a refund. This vw driving starving artist certainly appreciates it. Thanks Lou!

Thanks, Ken. Some poor kid is probably trying to play with a fan housing and crank pulley cover right now. I lost $600.00 in merchandise to the post office in '09, they offer no answers or refunds. UPS is 30% more expensive. FedX even more. Both are closed on Saturdays which is the only day I can ship. If you go to a UPS "store" they tack on ridiculous "handling" fees. Every time I send something, I'm rolling the dice!
