8" x 15 fuchs on the back of a bus?

Anyone know if you can get these to fit on a split bus with beetle long axles. what size tires. i currently have 6"s with 195/60-15. looking to run 8"s with 225/50-15"s. Its very tough to get the 195s past the drum/fender, but when they are on there is plenty of tire/fender clearance. The 225s should be a slight bit shorter, but wider. Don't really want to disconnect my axles from the springplates to install wheels.

Yes you can. Drilled drums with a long axle trans. JohnGhia has 15x8 on the back of his 23 window.

Thanks Bro. Got em on there. Gotta remove the axles from the springplate , but they squeek in there nice. Hope I don't get a flat!

Still need to get em polished and maybe drop it about another inch.
Not quite 1 finger width of clearance.
I'd post some shots from further away, but it is Ohio and it is snow/sleeting out. Brick wall

Looks good man, This is the only bus I can find that shows a 16x8 on the rear. I love how that dish gets tucked. I wont run 16 in the front though. Im gonna run 15x4.5 with the 165x45 low pro up front.

That bus looks good. I would have put 16"s , but the rears go for lots of $$ if you want og fuchs. I got a good deal on some og 15's so I'll go with those for now. If I find a cheap set of 16s they should jump on just the same. I'm running 195/45-15 fronts with late 6 fuchs & a 4.75 beam no clearance isssues. Looks good.
I think these may be 16s too.

That Bus brings back memories

That thing was bad when it rolled out! Zolotone fenderwells
dual rag top, 911 offset 16 x8's etc, etc

I remember seing it show up at the Jamboree (i think it was 90)

The other car I remember that caused a serious ruckus back then was the black oval with the chrome puzzle piece stripe and the black and white custom interior. Anybody have pictures of that car?
That was a serious ramfla back then...
That car had 7's or 8's on it too, didn't it?

O.K. now lets talk tires. The 15"s are out the 16"s are in. Any guess on what size tire on the back of the pink double sunroof? 225/45-16? Or on the Porsche bus?
Skim the ones you had on the back of your 23 look like 225/50-16.? They look a little too tall in the sidewall.
