Things have been moving along pretty well with the metal stage as you can see. Lots of redo work since the quality of the past wasn’t well enough to move on for me. Extending this replacing that and just cutting things back off. I’m thankful things worked the way they did and it wound back up in the careful hands of Mark.
Lots of other mechanical bits and pieces as well. More to come. _________________ www.blastserv.com

Interesting to see the differences to post-barndoor single cabs.
Is this the footer rail for the fuel tank separation panels?

Yes. |
I think that clears up a question I've had for a few years after a thread on the split bus forum. The '58 parts lists shows M6 bolts as part of the separation panel assembly but all the post-Barndoor single cabs seem to use big self-tapping screws.
M6 bolts will grip the sheet metail that forms the rail in my '56 single cab (no captive nuts), but seeing that picture, the bolts must be Barndoor-only...

Wow, This work is impressive . Really cool to see. Can you tell me where you got those spot weld arms ? Looks like those will work for welding on dog legs . _________________ I'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

Mark will have to comment regarding the spot weld arms. He is the one doing the work. _________________ www.blastserv.com

I end up just making my own at this point. Either using the beat old ones and modifying them or getting the copper stock and forming arms for whatever situation I am in.
If you search on the web there are companies that make all sorts of arms.
