Induction should be in my hot little hands by Monday at the latest. Now I just need to put a distributor back in it and rough time it before the induction arrives... This car deserves to be back on the street! Oh crap... need to pull the slicks off! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

the notch is running, so now my attention will focus on the speedster.
carbs are set up and ready! fuel pump mounted! need to remount the breather box, mount the linkage for the carbs, replace the fuel soft lines and put some street tires under it. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

I missed the Saturday goal as I had to pull that stupid shroud back off... I am reinstalling it and seeing if I fixed the issue. If not, I'll through a stock T1 shroud back on it so it can be driven. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Going to go with the German doghouse shroud for now. After getting back on the 24th, I will finish the carb re-re-install and put the seats back in... With that, I should be ready for Grafitti! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Today was finally back to the car(s)! Mostly the Pink topless car. I got all the stuff for the engine mounted (Carbs, distributor, fuel lines, oil breather, belt, fuel pump). And the DTM! Everything was ready, so I stole the riding mower battery (again) to see if it would at least crank and it did Thumbs Up I cranked until I saw oil pressure and could smell fuel and stopped. Then, I ran down to the FLAPS and picked up a battery and with a cheesy grin, I turned the key again with the coil hooked up and it jumped to life... sort of. It backfired hard through the muffler and then I saw it! I had the distributor installed with the traditional T3 location... but this is a type 1 engine! Spun it around and turned the key again tonight and it fired off without even hitting the pedal! I let out a whoop, turned off the key and shut the garage door tonight.
Tomorrow I will clean the multiple year's worth of dust/dirt off the car, time it, install the driver's seat again and then try and drive it back and forth on the parking pad to make sure I have brakes and gears. After that, I have to get the tags renewed (expired in 06) and then I'm ready for Graffiti Week here in Roseburg!
All in all, it was a great day! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

I think I will get out the grinder to write "Wash Me" in the windshield grime. I'm not sure my finger can penetrate it! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Finally back home! I found the last bits for the car this morning and tonight after the sun goes down I will install them. Next up are new tags and insurance, then a shake down cruise! Finally I will have it up and running again in all its pink glory! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

well running through the gears tonight, I snapped the shaft of the slave cylinder for the hydraulic clutch. So now I have to try and find in new one, before graffiti week starts. Oh the joy of custom things... _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Dude.
You actually need a clutch to drive a stick shift? _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I have actually driven this car without the clutch. The clutch went out in the middle of Boise during rush hour traffic and I had to get home running through the gears with no clutch. That was no fun at all but it could be done. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

no, the mounting rod that screws into the base. It broke inside the base and I don't have my tools to fix it because I lent them out. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"
