not a racer but full body with a few tricks
I have a 3 " body lift, turned/adjusted front end, IRS notched/adjustable spring plates. Biggest problem off road is the muffler clearance. Plan to make some new tube bumpers and have someone make me an exhaust that will tuck up in the bumper area or something for more clearance.

I've always wanted a loosly based version of one. L sat that because I would do a body lift on mine. and I don't think it is allowed. |
Yea, by the rules it isnt allowed.
Sometime either late summer or so, I'd like to find a nice latemodel or maybe a Thing to lift as high as I can get it, and add a body lift. |
i'm thinking of doing the same thing... but anyways whats your dad's class 11 story? tire size? lift? IRS? |

I JUST saw this.
His car was a '64 sunroof body on a '71 IRS chassis
2.5" Raised disc spindles
Raised adjustable beam up front
Notched springplates
Raised one outer and one inner out back
Longer than stock shocks all around... cant remember what ""
205/70-15 Re-capped mud grips all around
Planned to go with some 700-15's, adapters and smoothies in the future, but he sold the car before it happened. _________________ • Metal Fab & Quality Suspensions, Type I-II-III. Since 2004 • |

Check this site for some more pics. You have to kind of wander around if you want to find anything- http://mud.skynetblogs.be/ Here is a taste.
They are a bit intriguing as a style and this may be the way I go with my Oval. Not as a 'real' or 'competetive' Class 11. Just a capable off-roader with DD capabilities. It would be fun, usefull and turn heads. Should ride better than the lowriders, anyway.

Those cars have 181 (thing) suspension and body lift. |
