Ah, I see it now. I'm pretty sure I've seen someone rocking those. They look like they'd be a bit better than driving on super swampers _________________ Wash your hands

I have grabbers guys, I'm asking about the maxxis M/T tires.... Load rated and thicker tread. I love grabbers, but just accidentally found the maxxis and wanted to see if anyone had a set... _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

Well, you shoulda been more specific!
Grabbers are the first two tires listed when I click your link. What were we supposed to think you were talking about? _________________ Dave Cook

Colin has the 751 on both his continent-circumnavigating chariots. I imagine if he didn't like them he wouldn't have bought them for both his cars… _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!

You posted on this thread and the bay in the video is running BFG mid terrain. Not exactly the Bighorns but an aggressive mud tire non the less. Looks like he had great success with them. buses to the cape
I hung out with a guy at the Jerome Jamboree who was running mud tires on his split, he seemed to like them.
I'm sure making the switch from AT tires to MT tires on a bus would be similar to making the switch on a modern truck. Your gonna gain traction off road but loose it on road, especially in the rain. Sipeing is always a good idea on these type of tires for better traction on the road, both wet and dry. MT tires are also very taxing on the drive train, pros and cons. I will be going 27" AT on my next set of tires. _________________ __________

AT is far better than going straight to MT. MT are also a perfect option for sand driving. I did a lot of research before getting the AT2s, I almost bought the BFG KM2s but realized how bad of an idea that was for having a daily.
And yes, rain. ATs are more gooder on rain _________________ Wash your hands

Hey,
This is the rear bumper I quickly welded before we started our trip in South America. It's solid and works pretty well as from now (25.000km).
