Photoshop, be it a nice one photochop though.

I really want to do full bags, go low on the freeway and raise up on the trail. I don't think you should go with a kit, full custom is the way to go with bags.

That would actually be pretty cool on a bay. Just kinda cut up the front to tuck in the winch.

It really does help the Bus look the part. I might be tempted to call it a "handsome" bumper Very Happy

By the looks of things you don't need a winch on that bitchin' SC of yours Brian! Applause

If they were ever actually able to build this for dealer lots, you would see them everywhere you looked.

Awesome.

Yeah, it is actually a running driving vehicle. It would have me saving my dollars if, like you say, they were on dealer lots!

Oh Yeah, I knew I'd seen that photochopped-in running gear & front bumper somewhere before! Have to agree that the Mighty FC concept truck was bitchin'... and I already have a real FC170, in addition to several VDubs.

The thing about a Westfalia is that they're almost ready to camp in, as is, where by the time that "Mighty FC" would be equally 'camp-able'... it would probably weigh in the 7.000+ Lb range. Beautiful rig it would be, but I'd bet that bulk would also come with a large fuel appetite.

IMHO it's nice having a Westy all road-ready for camping at under 4500Lbs with 2 adults, that will go most places I want to 'car camp' and still average around 24mpg on regular fuel. A small 'hitch-mountable' winch and front & rear trailer hitches, would only add, what... 75Lbs or so, I guess, if one felt it really necessary to have one along for emergencies. Maybe it has to do with personal perceptions of versatility & efficiency, or not... IDK.

Whatever, that photoshopped Westy is still neat. YMMV
