Why would you want beadlockers on a lowered ghia?

If they are real bead locks , which they look like it. Most states frown on street use. Those bead looks might look huge with small tires. Shocked

BTR's are real beadlocks and therefore illegal for street use in California. You might get away with it up north, but the south state cops are getting wise to this and seem to now know what to look for. It'll really suck to kick out $1k on a set of locks only to get busted and not be able to use them. Plus I have to agree on not know how well they'll look.

I bought a set of BTR non-locks for this very reason. They look close to original Halibrands used on dragsters in the early days. I am planning to use as one of the wheel sets for my vintage gasser project.

As far a street goes, I've only seen them on busses. And they look killer in my mind! Also a gasser in Europe is sporting them too.

Those non lockers look really cool on that beetle.

Not that I'll buy them, because the Ansen lookalikes (or real ansens, perhaps. wouldn't that be cool) on my car look great, but still.

Are you guys sure these are still available?

I know someone last summer called all of these suppliers, (even the ones in hotvws that have them pictured) and no one had them. no one could get them, the suppliers made it seem that the manufacturer was out of business.

they do look tough!

If they are getting hard to find I'm glad I already got mine.

4 bolts are very close to Ansens..

look up "slot" "kidney bean" "indy" or other ones.

I buy ansens all the time for $50-100 a set... about 1/3 this price if they're GM pattern

Those black BTR's are baddd, you all think the 15 x 7 would fit in the fendr of my 61. Tranny and axels are stock, 7 sounds a little wide. I am stock height in the rear also. I know one of you gurus will know this.
