Damn, Dustin.
That's a serious load.
I'd have wimped out and put down some heavy cardboard or plywood under the block.

Laughing John that wouldn't have been a wimp out. Crete block on metal would be like fingernails on a chalkboard. .The outer block over hung the cargo floor mat I have in the bed.

Back in 1988, 14 kegs of beer for a party.
160 lbs a piece, makes 2240 lbs. No biggie, the bus was rated as a one-ton truck.
My bodybuilder roommate could throw one keg over each shoulder, and carry them up to the 3rd floor.

Just spent an hour and a half looking for the photo of it, can't find it, so as you guys say, "if you don't have a photo, it doesn't count".

Thats an hour and a half of my life I lost away from my garage.

I have always wonder how well that works, with the pivot points of the trailer beam and the logs in different places. The logs must be able to slip fore and aft in the trailer cradle.

I'd like to see some photos of your truck by the sawmill.

And vwassing, it was a pleasure to crawl all over your bus in Amersfoort.
Definitely a highlight of the trip!

Fer sure. If you squint real hard its engine could almost be construed as a dual-port husky VW type 1 although it's not.

original single port engine was eaten up by electrolysis- exposed to seawater
3 engines gave up their lives to build this
We built a
balanced 1600 DP
3 angle valve grind
Volvo SU carb and air filter
Mann oil filters
Tuned Tee Pee exhaust
alternator
adapt thrust bearing and electric start
Only the original steel parts from the OE used with new bearings
all the rest of the other metals were junk
gauges- vacuum - oil pressure oil temperature
300 hrs so far

it cuts Accurate dimensions and sounds great with that exhaust
