Tire size for a 66 beetle

Just picked up a 66 beetle with the stock rims, which Im told are 4 inch wide. Any advice on the widest tire I can put in the rear? Is 165/15 the widest/safest option for the rim below? Anybody have pics? Thanks for helping the beetle newbie

You can run a 195 6515 on the stock rims and be ok. These are very close to the same height as a 165 15.
