i feel like i should have been able to find the answer with the search button but after like an hour of searching i create my own post...

i was wondering if i could get by with a 15x7 (5" back spacing, i calculated it to be a +1.5" offset from center, is that correct?) all the way around on a 1969 beetle with stock beam and stock ride height. Thinking about a narrowed beam though...

thinking about like a 185/60 or 195/55 on the front and like a 205/? or 215/? (not sure on the aspect ratio for those) on the rear?

also if the 60 or 55 series tire will not fit in the front could i shrink it down and use like a 50 or 40 series in the front because the car is RWD (i know the spedo will be off)?

Tape measure & tire/wheel specs. are the only "sure" way to decide what you can run! When you're spending big money on tires/wheels it hurts bad when you're wrong! BTDT Don't forget suspension travel/weight load!
