Is the 1985 Westfalia watercooled or aircooled? Do they have any bad history of breaking down? Does anyone know of any "common" breakdowns in these campers?

Does the 1985 Wesfalia keep up with highway/freway traffic pretty well, or is it as slow as my 1971 (average 65 mph)?

Thanks,

conejo

The 85 is Water-cooled. Some people complain that the head gaskets are prone to failure. If in tune and up to specs, the 85 should have no trouble keeping up with most hwy traffic, it came with more horsepower than the air-cooled crowd. The H20 models I've driven blow the doors off my 82(air).
