Been a long time since this thread has seen some action. Time for a bump.

Watched the Winter Classic a few days ago. Interesting but not really exciting. had to suck trying to be competitive while it was snowing so hard.

My MN Wild have been sucking eggs for the last few weeks. Got a win against Buffalo Thursday night. Hopefully they can keep it coming. I just read that Buffalo claimed MN's Zenon Konopka off waivers yesterday. Very sorry to hear that. He is a bruiser, and doesn't score many goals, but he was great in the face-off circle and always an intimidating presence on the ice.

Not an NHL game but that US Olympics game was unreal. I had goose bumps just like when I was 11 years old back watching the 80 Olympics!

I hate the shootout with a passion. I hate the Olympic shootout even more. Just let them play the damn sport and take away the skills competition. Good game though

I plan to watch the game today.

I have no problem with the shootout, and have never understood the "skills competition" analogy. the whole game is a skills competition.
