So we had a small window of sunshine and I snuck the bike out for a spin and blow the cobwebs out. At the gas station a guy compliments me on the bike saying how he restored many Triumphs and that I did a good job restoring mine. I told him it's a 2009 and he left. I think if he was a restorer he could tell.

Nice bike! I rode a Speedmaster for a few days for a customer that couldn't pay their bill in a timely maner to keep the carbs fresh. Loved it. Only thing I would change is to have a 6th gear. _________________ Fatchicks: Daily drivers, donor cars, collectibles. What can't they do? |

Mine is an '09 and there were 2 in the showroom, Now the dealer has them sold before he gets them and has a will call list for used ones. Pretty crazy but I guess I got mine at a good time. _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.

Brookland green is a new color last year. I think I would like the old british racing green with yellow stripes combo better. _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.

I'd be thrilled just to get one. At this point it could have Hello Kitty stickers all over it with a pink seat!

Thank you very much for the compliments. It was a basket case when I started. I got it as a bare frame with wheels. Over 80% is original paint that I hand rubbed and poslished to bring it back to life. _________________ 71 Type 1302 Custom

Dude that look identical to my old bike. Cherry red 80' GS450. Manual. Worked like a champ. only issue was it would peg itself at 4k rpms until it warmed up, then idle seeked unless the weather was warmer then 90 degrees. What a fun bike. _________________ '74 Super |

I'm new to motorcycles. I just picked up this 81 CB125R to play with and use as a pit bike at the track (I LOVE this style of bike):
Bad part is, this little dumb bike has me hooked. I've got motorcycle fever now. I'm currently looking for a full size bike now. The 64 sunroof bug project in the garage will have to take a back seat for a little while. lol _________________ Eric Allred
