Well my '70 vert has bridgestones on it, that have lots of tread yet but, when i bought the car it had been sitting inside for 10 years so the tires are atleast 10 years old maybe even 15. So my question is should i try driving the car with these tires or just get new ones? How dangerous is it driving on 10-15 year old tires?

get new ones. tire need to be run on a regular basis to keep the rubber fresh. they hold silia (sp) which get distributed through the tire as they get hot. you are asking for a tread seperation by running them

They're history. Don't risk the danger by using them. Wink

So whats a good size and brand to go with? The car is at stock height now. But i might get lowered spindles on the car eventually so the tire has to work for stock height and lowered 2 1/2 on the front. I will most likely leave the rear height stock. The last 3
numbers on the tire are 041 so does that mean they were made the 4th month of '91?
